Impression Graphics Sweeps 2002 PIA Mid America & Gulf Coast Awards

June 6, 2002 -- Dallas, TX -- In continuing with their exemplary performance from previous years, Dallas-Ft. Worth-based Impression Graphics adds 25 "Excellence in Printing" Awards to their portfolio, including five "Best of Category" honors. The "2002 Graphic Excellence Awards," presented by the Printing Industries of America, (PIA) Mid America and the PIA of the Gulf Coast, were handed out April 18, 2002 in Dallas. "Impression Graphics took home more awards than any of the other 110 companies," commented Joe Polanco, PIA Mid America Executive Director. The mid-sized, high-end printer took home five Best of Category awards, 11 Awards of Excellence and 9 Awards of Merit. Polanco added, "To receive a Best of Category in Catalogs-Company Capability is extremely impressive thatís a tough category." The Graphic Excellence Awards competition promotes excellence in the industry and recognizes companies who produce the best in print media, regionally. PIA Mid America and PIA Gulf Coast include over 1,400 member companies across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Western Missouri and Louisiana. This yearís competition consisted of over 1,000 entries from 110 of the top printing companies among five states. The competition is formatted so printing companies of similar size and equipment capabilities compete with their peers in various categories ranging from stationary packages, to catalogs, invitations/announcements, to brochures, annual reports, pocket folders and menus. Accepting the awards for Impression Graphics was President Jim David. "We do our job to the best of our abilities and to meet the high standards expected by our customers. To be recognized by our peers and PIA is a great honor," said David.
