Multi-Color Corporation Wins Greater Cincinnati 2002 Deal Maker Award

Press release from the issuing company

Acquisitions Lead to Better Solutions for its Customers CINCINNATI, May 29 - Multi-Color Corporation announced it was the recipient of a 2002 Greater Cincinnati Deal Maker Award. Presented by the Association for Corporate Growth, the award recognizes corporate and individual "deal makers" who have been inspirational, visionary, creative, tenacious and persistent in their efforts to complete acquisitions, joint ventures, financing and strategic alliance transactions. Multi-Color was one of three corporate winners that have been successful in their pursuit of corporate growth through acquisitions. As a Deal Maker Award winner, Multi-Color was recognized, not only for the number of acquisitions it has made over the past three years, but also for how well the acquisitions have been integrated into the company and how they complimented Multi-Color's internal growth initiatives. "We make acquisitions to provide new products, expand our services and create better solutions for our consumer product customers," said Multi-Color President and Chief Executive Officer, Frank Gerace. In October 2001, Multi-Color acquired Premiere Labels, Inc. of Troy, Ohio to help increase its production capacity and expand its presence in the pressure sensitive label market. In fact, since December 1999, Multi-Color has acquired three separate companies and positioned itself as a one-stop provider of in-mold, shrink sleeve and pressure sensitive label solutions and services for technically complex applications to consumer product companies and container manufacturers worldwide. Today, Multi-Color is the world's largest producer of in-mold labels and has five manufacturing operations in the United States. Its products are shipped to more than 150 customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America and Asia. "On behalf of our shareholders, Board of Directors, employees and financial and professional partners, I want to thank the Association for Corporate Growth for this gratifying award," noted Gerace. In addition, Multi-Color was recently listed as the 4th "fastest growing company" in the Greater Cincinnati area by a local business publication due to its 25% growth in revenue from 2000 - 2001.
