New Flexo Color Calibration System Closes The Loop
Press release from the issuing company
LaGrange, IL, May 2002 -- A new color calibration system offered by GRIPdigital the exclusive distributor in North and South America of the Centurfax Digital DotMeter product line˜enables flexographic printers to read plates, film, proofs, and the resulting CMYK prints. The data gathered from these color readings may be used to monitor dot gain as well to ensure that the printed product faithfully represents the data used to produce the flexo plate. In describing the new flexographic color calibration system, GRIPdigital president Greg Imhoff commented: Unlike earlier flexographic color calibration systems available, the Centurfax FlexoDot DotMeter eliminates the light bending problems of transmissive devices and may be used anywhere on any size plate, film, proof, or print. Moreover, the Centurfax system uses portable devices which are readily available anywhere required in the pressroom or prepress area.
