New online features within Prinect Printready System:Remote Acess

Press release from the issuing company

May 14, 2004 -- Heidelberg present on drupa 2004 for the first time the Prinect Printready module Remote Access, which allows printers to seamlessly connect their customers to the print production process. Beyond fast job oriented data uploads, online data searches and downloads, Printready Remote Access offers closed loop proofing and approval cycles that are fully integrated into the Printready workflow management. Pages and imposed flats can be checked and annotated online either as PDF or as ripped pixel data. Approvals and annotations from the print buyer are automatically fed back into the production Job-JDF on the print site. As a result they are immediately visible in the Prinect Printready Cockpit and can be used to automatically trigger subsequent workflow steps. Prinect Printready Remote Access will be introduced into the market beginning of 2005. The Prinect Printready Content Manager is another Printready module that is demonstrated for the first time live on drupa. This module will add digital asset management functionality to the Printready System. Offering efficient content data structuring, keywording as well as search and retrieval functionality that can be used beyond server and department borders, Prinect Printready Content Manager avoids the need to run a separate content management application and provides the benefit of being fully integrated into the Prinect production workflow.
