At Xplor, Heidelberg showcases its digital solutions for the transactional print market

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 23, 2003 — Data-center, transactional, and variable print communication customers can see firsthand how they can benefit from Heidelberg’s digital solutions, at this year’s Xplor Global Conference & Exhibit, Oct. 26-29 in Atlanta. In its booth (#308), Heidelberg will showcase solutions for the transactional market, including the Digimaster 9110m system for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) printing — now available worldwide — and DataXceed software solution, which recognizes and processes virtually all of the popular file formats used in data centers in industry, administration, banks and insurance companies. The company also will demonstrate the NexPress 2100’s NexStation II digital front end, which drives productivity at two times the rate of standard front-end solutions. Wolfgang Pfizenmaier, president of Heidelberg’s Digital Print Solution Center, will discuss trends and successes in customized print communications at the Joint Technology Council Partners Executive Forum, Sunday, Oct. 26. Pfizenmaier’s presentation will focus on trends such as convergence, output management, recipient-oriented printing and magnetic ink character recognition applications. He will highlight print communication providers that are employing Heidelberg solutions to deliver outstanding services for their own clients. Pfizenmaier also will provide insight into the company’s technology strategy at the Joint Technology Council Partners Product Chief Technology Officer Panel, Monday, Oct. 27. In addition, Dr. Jeff Blood, vice president of Heidelberg’s Materials and Advanced Technology, will deliver an Oct. 29 session entitled, “The Path to Meeting Tough Customer Requirements,” describing how Heidelberg addressed customers’ heightened security and fraud concerns in the development of the Digimaster 9110m print system. ”While Heidelberg’s leadership stature throughout the commercial print world is very well known, we have many customers who are driving and exemplifying trends Xplor members are keenly interested in,” said Pfizenmaier. “Xplor is a great venue to showcase Heidelberg’s arsenal of powerful workflow and hardware solutions our customers are using with great success in transactional, data center, and variable data print environments.” Heidelberg Business Development Services representatives will be on-hand throughout the show to discuss the equipment with prospective customers and answer any questions about the company’s solutions.
