Heidelberg focuses on customers at IGAS 2003

August 15, 2003 -- At this year’s International Graphic Arts (IGAS) tradeshow, being held in Tokyo at the Tokyo Internati-onal Exhibition Center between September 22 and 28, 2003, Heidelberg will showcase Prinect, Industrial Print, Digital Print, Commercial & Quick Print and Package & Label solutions. The success of our customers is Heidelbergs success. In the center of our IGAS show with the motto "Towards the future of the Print Media" are therefore applications. So successful business models of Heidelberg customers will be the focus of presentations", said Günter Zorn, head of the Asia Pacific Market Center. Heidelberg Solutions at IGAS Prinect Solutions -- Prinect solutions include modular workflow components that cover the entire value-added chain. For the first time in Japan Heidelberg unveil the JDF-based Prinect Printready System. Visitors will see how production data and business management data can flow together smoothly. Industrial Print Solutions-- Heidelberg will demonstrate a 10 color Speedmaster CD 102 for the first time in Japanese market. The 10-color configurationn presents a new opportunity for printers to utilize one pass productivity for outstanding results and faster turnaround and to enhance their existing product portfolio. Digital Print Solutions-- At IGAS, Heidelberg will for the first time for the Japanese market present its entire portfolio of digital print solutionss. Using a digital press, Heidelberg will demonstrate a one to one marketing model using variable data printing. The NexPress 2100 color digital press along with Digimaster 9110 and Quickmaster DI presses will be highlighted. Package & Label Solutions-- Heidelberg presents new business opportunities in package and label printing demonstrating the media power of print in packkaging through special printing techniques. At the booth, Heidelberg shows flexible customer-driven solutions that can run wide range of paper and mediums– from very thin to thick substrates, from paper to plastic film. Environmentally friendly printing Heidelberg will present its “Environmental Information Center”, highlighting the importance of environmental issues to the international print media industry. Simple models will show customers how money can be saved with peripherals while at the same time saving the environment. Examples of these include the automatic ink supply, powder extraction, bilateral powder coating or units for recycling wash-up solution. IGAS Daily News Heidelberg will demonstrate its total solution approach with a special demo job-- the IGAS Daily News. The IGAS Daily News will be a daily newspaper in tabloid format informing IGAS participants of news annd important events related to the IGAS, the largest international print media tradeshow of the year. Other activities Heidelberg will be supporting the printers association Heidelberg Forum 21 annual meeting during IGAS. Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG CEO Bernhard Schreier, Board member, Holger Reichardt and Heidelberg Japan president, Kohei Yamamoto are planned to speak at the meeting on September 23. In support of the first World Printing Technician's Conference held in conjunction with IGAS September 24 - 26, at the Tokyo Big Sight, Heidelberg will have numerous speakers addressing a wide range of topics including environmental regulations, printshop workflow automation and business practices.
