Unisource Creates New Paper Promotion for Its Popular Starbrite Opaque Brand

Press release from the issuing company

NORCROSS, GA (October 2, 2007) -- Unisource Worldwide, Inc., one of the leading distributors of paper, packaging and facility supplies in North America, announced the creation of a new printed promotion -- titled Keep It Simple -- for its popular Starbrite Opaque brand. The popular "K.I.S.S." acronym, used throughout the piece, stands for Keep It Simple, Starbrite. The piece is designed to be simple (of course), light-hearted and produced with a sense of humor in mind.
"Starbrite Opaque is a well-known brand recognized throughout the print and design community," said Ed Farley, Vice President, Marketing -- Paper, for Unisource. "This marketing effort highlights the performance and versatility associated with our 96 bright, #1 opaque. We have also used this promotion to point out that we can have fun once in a while. If people laugh or smile while reading Keep It Simple, then we've accomplished one of our objectives."
While many paper promotions use the latest print techniques and tricks to make a piece stand out, Keep It Simple is just that -- simple.  Limited embellishments were used in production. The outer sleeve is embossed in the bottom right corner, and one page in the brochure is stamped with foil. Other than that, it's just ink on paper.
In conjunction with the promotion, Unisource is providing an opportunity for printers and designers to submit a business reply card to the company. For those who participate, Unisource will send each respondent a free K.I.S.S. T-shirt, to remind them to Keep It Simple, Starbrite. Quantities are limited while supplies last. Respondents can also submit their request online at www.keepitsimplestarbrite.com.
