Heidelberg Reaches Out To Print Buyers At 2003 Print Oasis

Press release from the issuing company

KENNESAW, Ga., March 6, 2003 — Heidelberg Business Development Services Director Richard Sand recently spoke at the 2003 Print Oasis conference to educate print buyers about new developments and business strategies related to digital printing. Key highlights of Sand’s speech included an overview of industry trends and how they translate into business opportunities that print buyers can immediately pursue. “Businesses want to leverage the customer information gathering tools they’ve invested in so heavily over the past decade,” Sand said. “Variable data printing is a key tool for using this information in a meaningful way and yielding powerful results.” During his presentation, Sand reviewed the changing global print business environment and Heidelberg’s leadership role in providing instruction and support to all parties who can benefit from digital printing technologies and applications. He also discussed the power of print on demand and short-run printing. “The key to successful marketing and outreach is all about knowing your customer and reaching them in a timely manner,” he said. “New advances in digital printing technology enable businesses to be nimble and flexible with their communications strategy – meeting demands quickly and getting ahead of the competition.” Sand instructed the attending print buyers on how to transition to a digital printing environment and effectively market new applications. ”The reception to Heidelberg’s message was tremendous,” said Sand. “Print buyers have always turned to printers with Heidelberg offset equipment for premium quality. The Print Oasis attendees were excited to hear about the new digital capabilities many Heidelberg-equipped shops now offer and that they can expect the same gold standard for their digital print jobs.” The conference, hosted by Print Buyers Online, was held in Arlington, Va., last week and drew more than 400 attendees. Heidelberg’s Business Development Services group is comprised of experienced consultants who work directly with print company owners and their employees across the U.S., offering a wide variety of services, to create business and marketing plans, sales, marketing and technical training, and conduct educational forums and roadshows.
