Printcafe, which became a public company in June 2002, was eligible for the prestigious ranking because it was private during the period measured, 1997 - 2001. Printcafe was ranked #243 with 927 percent growth in the past five years, making it the fastest growing software company serving the graphic arts industry. Inc verifies all information using tax forms and financial statements from certified public accountants and by conducting interviews with company officials. "We are very proud to be included in Inc magazine's extremely prestigious ranking," commented Marc Olin, Printcafe President and Chief Executive Officer. "We believe our revenue growth during this tough economic climate is indicative of the strength of our offering and the value we provide to our customers in the printing supply chain." "This is the first Inc 500 ranking to reflect the full impact of the recession," said Inc editor John Koten. "Yet these entrepreneurs are managing to confound the naysayers and move ahead despite the obstacles. They're showing that smart strategies can succeed even in the toughest of times."
