Elixir’s new variable-data solution for enterprise printing VENTURA, Calif. – October 28, 2002 – Elixir Technologies announces that they will be previewing Vitesse, the most advanced VIPP designer, at the Xplor tradeshow. Taking full advantage of the Xerox standards for VIPP printing, Vitesse makes it easy and cost-effective to design variable data documents. The creation of personalized business documents has never been easier. No coding is required to produce effective one-to-one communications that include dynamic business charts, barcodes and full color images for enterprise print solutions. Using VIPP technology, the templates (JDT, DBM) created by Vitesse are saved on the printer and contain all the rules for data placement and document composition. Images are cached on the printer to improve throughput. At print time, only the variable data is sent to the printer. The fully composed documents are created at run-time using Dynamic Document Construction (DDC). Advanced features enable the opening and editing of existing VIPP applications in Vitesse. Users who want to review the source code will find that a code view is also provided. Any edits made in the code are immediately visible in the design.
