Elixir Technologies Develops Next Generation of Enabling Tools for AFP, Xerox
Press release from the issuing company
Ventura, Calif. – October 28, 2002 – Elixir Technologies announces the development of DesignPro Tools, the next generation of enabling tools for AFP and Xerox printing. Fifteen years of experience with forms design has gone into the creation of sophisticated tools that help increase productivity and ensure quality output. Statements, letters, checks, policies, an endless variety of business documents can easily be created, edited and saved to the appropriate format.
For years the Elixir Suites have been the industry standard for creating forms for Xerox laser printers and applications for AFP printing. "Over the years, we have listened to our customers’ suggestions and have incorporated their wonderful feedback into the design of our new set of resource tools," said Dianne Merzel, vice president of global sales and marketing for Elixir.
Customers who are currently using the Elixir Suites will want to upgrade to DesignPro Tools and benefit from the new easy-to-use interface, native mode editing of resources (no conversions are required) and expanded color and resolution support. The new software is expected to be released in January 2003.
DesignPro Tools for AFP provides integrated OGL and PPFA design that makes it easy to create and edit the overlays, fonts, images and data layout needed for AFP printing. Developed according to the published IBM Advanced Function Presentation (AFP) standards, DesignPro Tools for AFP supports record format as well as traditional pagedefs.
