Lamination Service Inc. adds a Tigra from Muller Martini for perfect binding

Press release from the issuing company

Bartlett, Tennessee — Lamination Service Inc. has added a Tigra from Muller Martini to enhance the perfect binding capabilities of its finishing operation. LSI specializes in badging solutions, badging supplies, binding services and laminating services. The company’s new Tigra produces high quality books, thanks to its side gluing capabilities, a feature that’s usually found only on high-volume perfect binding systems. The system can produce up to 3,600 books per hour. Tigra’s integrated gatherer accommodates a wide range of sizes and features Automatic Self Adjusting Caliper (ASAC) to speed adjustment between jobs. Makeready is further expedited by a PLC control system that guides the operator from task-to-task via menu driven controls. It has a self-diagnostic capability that spots makeready errors before they become problems. In addition to its perfect binding capabilities, LSI offers saddle stitching, spiral and wire binding and fastback binding.
