Press release from the issuing company

Contract Expansion Based on Successful Ten-Year Business Relationship VALLEY FORGE, Pa.--Oct. 21, 2002--IKON Office Solutions announced today that it has been awarded a national contract with Shook, Hardy and Bacon, LLP to provide facilities management and related services. The expansion of this contract to a national scope is a reflection of both IKON's long-standing relationship with the prominent law firm and its capabilities as a national service provider. IKON had previously provided facilities management services to the firm's Kansas City office. IKON will provide a solution comprised of a blend of copier/printer equipment, on-site and off-site outsourcing services, and digital imaging services. As part of its on-site services, IKON will staff and manage Shook, Hardy and Bacon's copy centers and mailrooms as well as providing general office support services such as hospitality and supply management. "We had many goals in mind when choosing a partner to manage our office and document requirements. With six locations across the country, we needed to leverage a provider with national focus that could still provide us with a high level of service in our local offices," said Lisa Carpenter, Operations Manager for Shook, Hardy and Bacon. "IKON's dedication and service over the past ten years has proven that they are truly committed to our business and its requirements. We are enthusiastic about expanding our relationship with IKON to include all of our U.S. office locations." Under the national contract, IKON will provide a single point of contact for account management as well as consistent performance standards and quality assurance measures for local service and support. In addition, Shook, Hardy and Bacon will receive consolidated invoicing and standard reporting. "The expansion of our contract with Shook, Hardy and Bacon provides us with a tremendous opportunity to further demonstrate our capabilities as a national service provider. By entrusting us with its facilities management requirements on a national scale, the firm has expressed its satisfaction with our business relationship," said Dennis LeStrange, Senior Vice President and head of IKON North America, IKON Office Solutions. "We look forward to taking our partnership to the next level by continuing to provide the high quality of service they have come to expect, but now expanding our scope to support them nationally."
