Georgia-Pacific Provides Health Update on CEO

ATLANTA, Oct. 14 -- Georgia-Pacific Corp. today said that A.D. "Pete" Correll, chairman and chief executive officer, is anticipated to make a full and rapid recovery following a procedure early Monday to correct a blocked artery in his heart. Correll, 61, was treated at Emory University Hospital after checking into the facility overnight with chest discomfort. He subsequently received coronary angioplasty. Physicians for Mr. Correll said he is resting comfortably today following the treatment and is expected to fully recover. Day-to-day operations of Georgia-Pacific continue as usual.
