NowDocs Becomes Part of the Taylor Corp. Family of Companies
Press release from the issuing company
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif.--Oct. 8, 2002-- NowDocs, Int. (International) is launching today as a newly formed entity under the Taylor Corp. family of companies.
Taylor is a holding company for a diverse group of autonomous business entities involved in direct marketing/creative agencies, direct mail catalog marketing, commercial printing, holiday greeting cards, printed business and office products, technology, advertising and promotional products and stationery products for special life events.
In May of 2002, Taylor, on behalf of some of its operating companies exclusively licensed NowDocs' award-winning, browser-based, print-on-demand, application service provider (ASP) technology. The announcement today means that NowDocs now has the financial backing coupled with its superior technology to provide industry-leading print-on-demand solutions for the global 2000 marketplace.
The formation of NowDocs, Int. combines members of the original NowDocs development team for both the NowPrint ASP, and NowPrint server solutions with the world-class hosting environment, print production experience and expertise and market knowledge of many of Taylor's diverse business entities.
NowDocs' NowPrint ASP technology coupled with the industry experience and production capabilities of the company's new partner companies is ideal for customers with demanding print requirements allowing them to improve workflow, cut turn-around time and reduce costs.
In addition, NowDocs' NowPrint server software allows corporate customers to run the NowPrint solution "in-house" should they desire to store their data locally vs. a wide area network based ASP model. In addition, the NowPrint server solution allows the corporate customer to route production orders to their own equipment or optionally to NowDocs certified production and fulfillment facilities.
NowPrint and NowPrint ASP are currently running successfully at some of the most prestigious, financial, technology, consumer beverage and educational institutions in the world today.
Both NowPrint and NowPrint ASP solutions include three easy-to-use modules for ordering, production management and administration.
These solutions offer an ideal complement to another technology product, called the Single Resource Engine, a best of breed, Web-based, print procurement system, which contains the broadest array of product configuration and order placement solutions available in the market today.
The Single Resource Engine is available through many of the Taylor entities and the NowPrint ASP solution has been fully integrated into the Single Resource Engine and is currently in production at several of the company's new affiliates.
"NowDocs will now have the resources and access to the diverse industry experience required to make the NowDocs technology the de facto industry standard for browser-based enterprise print solutions," said Brad Adamske, former founder and CEO of NowDocs and now president of the newly formed entity.
"We were attracted to NowDocs because they provide the best enterprise print-on-demand technology in their marketplace today. We only invest in companies who are or have the potential to be World Class and in people who are World Class leaders. We believe NowDocs and Brad Adamske fit both criteria," said Brad Schreier, chief executive officer of Taylor.
Schreier went on to say: "Several of our business entity leaders championed this acquisition. They saw it as an excellent opportunity to integrate their existing technology solutions (i.e. Single Resource Engine), print production capabilities and experience and market knowledge with NowDocs to provide the best solutions for their customers by creating a new suite of solutions unparalleled in the marketplace."
Both NowPrint and NowPrint ASP are online and available for immediate demonstration and production implementation. To learn more, or to schedule a live Web-based presentation, visit the NowDocs Web site at www.nowdocs.com or call 949/443-2331.
