Printcafe PrintSmith Named Product of the Year by British Association

Press release from the issuing company

Printers Vote at BAPC Annual Conference, Recognizing the Value of PrintSmith PITTSBURGH, Sept. 26 Printcafe Software, Inc., the operating system for print, announced today that its PrintSmith business management system has been awarded Product of the Year at the annual British Association for Print and Communication (BAPC) conference, held September 20-21, 2002 in Buckinghamshire, England. In the months leading up to the conference over 20,000 nomination forms were issued to BAPC members and inserted into industry journals such as Print Now!  Printers were asked to nominate the product of the year that is most deserving of recognition. Eleven products were short-listed and PrintSmith was voted overall winner by a secret ballot of 200 members who attended the Conference. "It's good news that it isn't always hardware that wins these awards. The fact that the BAPC members have voted PrintSmith the winner shows that printers are finding management systems of real benefit to their business," said Steve Ricketts, Managing Director of the Print Design and Communication franchise and a BAPC board member. "On a personal level, I am delighted to endorse PrintSmith because we are in the process of introducing it to our centers." "We are honored to receive this award from the BAPC," said Robert Berkeley, Managing Director of Printcafe Europe. "PrintSmith is relied upon by thousands of printers worldwide and it has really made an impact in the UK market since we started direct sales here a year ago. We are pleased that PrintSmith is recognized as a product that offers savings in both time and money for today's busy printer. Printers who use the system spend less time chasing paperwork and can concentrate on running their business and maximizing their profits." PrintSmith is a powerful business management system that is scaled to fit everything from retail and on-demand printers to small commercial operations. Add-on modules include PrintSmith Site, an integrated e-commerce site making it easy for customers to order jobs on-line, and PrintSmith Composer for editing online documents and delivering print ready files.
