Press release from the issuing company
Valhalla, NY, September 23, 2002 – Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. announced today the formation of Arkin Graphics, Inc., which will be based in Flushing, New York. The new company was created to acquire the graphic arts products distribution business from Arkin-Medo, Inc. of Flushing, New York.
As an Enovation company, Arkin Graphics will continue to serve the companies and customers that Arkin-Medo established over the past 80 years.
"This new company will carry on the tradition of a strong commitment to its customers," said Steve List, vice president of Arkin Graphics, Inc. "Our knowledge of the marketplace and our customers’ needs has always been important to our way of doing business. Enovation views this customer-first approach with the same high priority."
"I am excited about Enovation’s decision to acquire the graphic arts business elements I have overseen for the past 15 years," added David Scharf, president of Arkin-Medo, Inc. "It is comforting to know that Arkin-Medo’s loyal employees will continue to serve our valued customers by working for Enovation, a company with financial strengths and a long-term vision."
Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. was formed last year with Fujifilm’s acquisition of three leading dealers in the channel – PrimeSource Corporation, Heartland Imaging and Graphic Systems, Inc. Earlier this year, Enovation acquired Taylor Impression, Inc. with five branches in Tennessee and Arkansas and Image Control Systems with four branches in the Pacific Northwest.
"With the establishment of Arkin Graphics, Inc., Enovation continues to expand the industry’s leading nationwide network of sales and technical professionals," commented Atsushi "Steve" Yoneda, chairman of Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. "Enovation offers comprehensive solutions from the world’s premiere manufacturers and assists in integrating imaging technologies and products through consultative services and support."
"The creation of Arkin Graphics establishes a major presence for Enovation in the New York metro area," said Daniel Maffeo, Enovation’s executive vice president.
