Paperloop Links with Go2Paper for Trading of Printing and Writing Papers
Press release from the issuing company
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 16, 2002 - Paperloop, information provider to the paper, pulp, forest, converting and allied industries, today announced a new agreement to link its flagship website www.paperloop.com with the Go2Paper website for services that enable paper users to buy and sell printing and writing paper in the largest online Paper Marketplace, as well as manage their paper orders using the Paper Manager.
The agreement will facilitate the transfer of visitors between the two sites, forming an extension of Paperloop's own "e-marketplace" where site visitors interact with the "e-storefronts" of leading industry companies to find product and pricing information.
"Working in partnership with Go2Paper makes for an even more comprehensive service for both Paperloop and Go2Paper customers. A visitor to www.paperloop.com can check price trends, forecasts and product information for printing and writing papers, formulate purchasing decisions and then move seamlessly to Go2Paper to make a purchase online," said Ian Johnston, Paperloop's president and CEO.
"This brings us one step closer in our objective of providing complete access to paper-related information and paper-related products online."
Mike Conran, Go2Paper's president and CEO, said of the new partnership: "We're delighted to open up this new route to our MarketPlace and other services. Paperloop is a very well-read and well-respected site for professionals and buyers of printing and writing paper. Our Marketplace is a logical extension of the core information services Paperloop provides as their customers can now quickly sell paper to or purchase paper from other paper users directly."
