Dialogue Helps CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services Produce Fully Personalized Statements and Dramatically Improve Time to Market
September 18, 2002--www.exstream.com--Exstream Software, Inc. announced today that CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services (CIGNA), a leading asset management and retirement services firm, has chosen its Dialogue software to produce newly designed retirement statements customized to the needs of nearly 3,200 plan sponsors and 1.5 million plan participants in CIGNA-provided defined-contribution and defined-benefit retirement plans. CIGNA's new statement required software that could provide extensive, personalized messaging capabilities, dynamically insert charts and logos, and facilitate development and implementation of statement enhancements to within a three-month production cycle. Dialogue offered CIGNA the flexibility, scalability, and personalization capabilities required to produce the new statements to their specifications.
Dialogue's open architecture and ability to process an unlimited number of input files will allow CIGNA to collect and update client data from multiple record-keeping systems and leverage that data to personalize messages and incorporate high-end graphics in each communication. Additionally, Dialogue provides CIGNA's plan sponsors with the capability to dynamically import images, logos, and taglines into the statements, strengthening brand employee awareness of the company and the value it delivers through its retirement benefits.
“We are committed to providing our clients with the best solutions to help them manage their defined-contribution and defined-benefit retirement savings plan, and our retirement statement is no exception,” said Vic Saliterman, senior vice president of Participant Solutions for CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services.
“Dialogue is making it possible for us to produce a statement that contains high-value, personalized information that allows employees to view and understand their retirement savings in a meaningful way. Dialogue has helped us significantly improve our time to market with statement enhancements, enabling us to respond more quickly to our clients' needs and market demands.”
The retirement contribution statement is one piece of a participant communications initiative at CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services to provide integrated, tailored messaging throughout the company's print and online communication vehicles. Dialogue also offers the ability to create and personalize any type of document. And because Dialogue operates seamlessly within a company's infrastructure, easily scaling from large, distributed multi-channel delivery environments to smaller departmental levels, CIGNA now has the option to offer customized services throughout the entire enterprise.
“We are confident that Dialogue will provide CIGNA with a level of customization and simplicity in their statements that will, without a doubt, help increase plan participants and engage them in the decision-making process,” said Davis Marksbury, president and CEO of Exstream Software. “This is critical to the success of any one-to-one marketing initiative, and we are proud that Dialogue offers the capabilities CIGNA needs to support its customer relationship management initiatives.”
Based on feedback collected through CIGNA's customer call-in center, CIGNA reports that more than 90% of its retirement and investment services plan participants are happier with the new statements, citing a much clearer understanding of their retirement plans and personal options.
