dotrix and xpedx Partner at Graph Expo

dotrix n.v, Belgian manufacturer of the high-speed inkjet digital color press - the.factory - will be present in the xpedx booth at Graph Expo (booth 4824) having appointed xpedx as Value Added Reseller for the USA and Canada. xpedx is a division of Fortune 50 company, International Paper, and a market leader in the distribution of printing substrates, packaging supplies and graphic imaging prepress equipment and supplies. Headquartered in Covington, Kentucky and with offices around the world, xpedx has a network of 180 sites in the USA including ten million square feet of warehouse space and its own national delivery fleet of 1,300 trucks. Says Rob Haak, dotrix managing director: "xpedx is ideally suited to be our VAR for the USA. The company's regional spread , distribution facilities and technology support center are vital for a successful distribution model in North America. This and the fact that xpedx also distributes consumables means it can make favourable financing agreements for customers or can combine consumables in the sales package." Don Harvey, director of marketing graphic imaging at xpedx adds: "We have a great deal of experience in the packaging sector which is a key target area for the.factory and we're excited to be able to work with dotrix in this sector and others. the.factory has a number of key benefits over competing technologies such as the ability to jet UV-curing ink onto industry substrates, its productivity and completely digital workflow. These factors are key in dealing with short run and variable data printing for volume printers and converters that are currently using flexo, screen or gravure printing methods." xpedx will be responsible for distributing the full range of dotrix products including the.factory, ink jet digital press designed for industrial applications and including digital color workflow solutions for industrial, security and decorative printing markets, and dotrix's SPICE unit (Single Pass Inkjet Color Engine) - the technology at the heart of the.factory. Dotrix's Industrial Printing Applications manager, Geert Van den hole will be present on the xpedx booth (4824) during the exhibition.
