Roland Unveils Five All-New Inkjet Printers & Printer/Cutters

Press release from the issuing company

With More Than 100 Technical Enhancements, the PRO II Series Combines Blazing Speed and Legendary Roland Quality SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 10 -- Roland DGA Corporation today introduced an entirely new family of five inkjet printers and printer/cutters. The SOLJET PRO II, Hi-Fi JET PRO II and CAMMJET PRO II produce graphics with blazing speed and legendary Roland quality. The PRO II Series can print up to 300 sqft/hr at 450 dpi. Roland developed this unique print mode especially for the production of signs, exhibits and POP displays. Large 30-sqft banners take only six minutes. This remarkable combination of speed and quality is due to more than 100 technical enhancements, including multiple high-speed CPUs, a built-in multitasking operating system and servo-controlled media movement. The new six-color inkjets also have large, one-inch-wide print heads loaded with 360 nozzles each. For unmatched quality, all PRO II inkjets combine variable droplet technology with print resolutions up to 1440x1440 dpi. They print with unrivaled color gamut and precision for fine art reproduction and photography. They also include Roland SelectColor, a new feature-rich software RIP. "The PRO II Series represents a major advance for the printmaking industry, with more features, choices and speed than ever before," said Rick Scrimger, Roland Senior Product Manager. "Whether you're producing durable outdoor signs or hi-resolution fine art, we have the right inkjet for the job." The SOLJET PRO II models are the latest generation of Roland's revolutionary solvent inkjet devices. They use low volatility SOL INK to produce durable outdoor graphics without the dangerous vapors and caustic chemicals normally associated with solvent devices. New models include 74- and 54-inch printers and a 54-inch printer/cutter. The Hi-Fi JET PRO II represents the newest edition to Roland's award-winning line of inkjet printers. The CAMMJET PRO II brings the hottest technology to Roland's best-selling inkjet printer/cutters. Both print with pigment or dye ink and accept media up to 54 inches wide. As with all Roland inkjets, the PRO II Series offers years of reliable service, even in the most demanding shop environments. Each one is built with solid construction and advanced media control technology. They also feature new print head maintenance systems for unmatched mechanical reliability.
