Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica Expands Insurance Programs

Press release from the issuing company

Dallas – (August 21, 2002) - The Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica has partnered with Utica Insurance Company to create a workers’ comp dividend program for its Texas members. Utica Insurance Company is the endorsed carrier for the Association’s Texas members. The program is structured to allow participating companies to receive their existing modifier discounts as well as having an opportunity to earn dividends based on the pool’s performance. With rising workers’ comp rates, this program can provide dramatic savings for companies whose premium base is not large enough to participate in dividend programs. A similar program operated for graphic arts firms by Utica recently earned dividends of 18%. The program is only open to PIA-MidAmerica members with annual workers’ comp premiums of less than $100,000 and who meet the appropriate underwriting guidelines. For more information, or to speak to an endorsed agent, contact O.Z. Ozendes with the Association staff at (800) 788-2040 or [email protected] The Association, in partnership with the Printing Industries of St. Louis, operates a self-funded workers’ comp program for its Missouri members. The program called "Moprint" has saved members thousands of dollars in premiums over the past years. Firms interested in receiving information regarding "Moprint" should contact Sharon Elswick at (888) 399-6636 or [email protected]
