MANSFIELD, Mass. & FOSTER CITY, Calif.--July 29, 2002-- Electronics For Imaging, the world leader in software and hardware imaging solutions for network printing, and Axeda Systems Inc., the pioneer of the growing market for device relationship management (DRM) enterprise software and services, today announced that they have signed a multi-year, exclusive agreement to develop DRM-based products for the multi-billion dollar office and print production systems marketplace.
EFI's industry-leading Fiery (R), Splash and Edox controllers drive networked printers, multifunction devices and other digital imaging devices in thousands of commercial, corporate, professional and production printing environments worldwide. EFI plans to incorporate Axeda DRM technology in many future controllers and other products to significantly enhance customers' ability to remotely track usage, replenish consumables and proactively service their devices, providing a powerful, new productivity and cost management tool.

Russell Jr., chairman and CEO of Axeda Systems. "EFI revolutionized the printing industry with its award-winning controller technology and Internet printing initiatives.
