Variable image and photo support added to MyOrderDesk's ezMerge Web-based variable data workflow to help customers win new business, improve your profits.
Aurora, IL, July 24, 2002: PagePath has released version 9.6 of the MyOrderDesk Web-based workflow solution. The system is used by graphic arts service providers such as commercial printers, screenprinters, copy shops, ad specialties, quick printers, graphic designers, reprographers, etc. to eliminate frustration, allow more time to win and keep customers, and improve profits. Among many new capabilities, the new version enables users to upload photographs or other images into online variable data templates for business cards, real estate sell sheets, etc. The product already supports online merging and proofing of text-based information. The new
release is designed to reduce a shop's labor costs, producing faster turnaround times and enhancing customer service. In addition, the new version will provide more sales and profit opportunities by allowing the print shop to service a larger market with lower production costs.
Release 9.6 of MyOrderDesk is a free upgrade for existing PagePath customers. MyOrderDesk has grown to be the number one choice of printing professionals. Initially released in December of 1999, it has been Awarded "Product of the Year" by PrintImage International and was named "Best of Breed" by Xerox.
"We have continually added to MyOrderDesk's capabilities over the years. We avoided the distractions of the dot-com mania by doing what we have done for 19 years, listen to our customers. This new release will save our customers even more time in their design, ordering, and production process through the elimination of costly and labor intensive operations that many shops now grapple with," explained Steve Ciesemier, vice president, PagePath Technologies. "While helping streamline workflow and eliminate production headaches for fulfillment items, stationary, marketing pieces, copying, and printing, MyOrderDesk also adds extra customer service capabilities that
assist the shop in winning and keeping new business." he added. In agreement is Erik Evert, vice president of sales for Minnesota based Digital Orange, who said, "MyOrderDesk gives us a distinct advantage over the competition. We are not another me-too printer!"
MyOrderDesk is a private-labeled solution that is added to a shop's existing Web site or used as a complete, stand-alone site. It is a turnkey system consisting of a secure Web-based order entry, variable data, file transfer, proofing, approval, confirmation, inventory and job management system. The system delivers snag-free printing by automating the workflow to save time and prevent problems.
