Cary DAM/IT Releases Picflow 4.0 and Asset Request 2.0

Press release from the issuing company

The addition of Picflow and Asset Request to Cumulus' existing modular and flexible architecture provides even greater means to extend, integrate and customize market-leading Digital Asset Management solution for unique workflows NEW YORK, NY-July 18, 2002-Carey DAM/IT, a Canto Certified System Integrator (CCSI), today released Picflow 4.0 and Asset Request 2.0, two new powerful solutions designed to extend the functionality of Cumulus solutions for web-based and automated workflows. The announcement was made at the Macworld Conference & Expo at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York, where Canto (booth #1525) is demonstrating its comprehensive product line of digital asset management solutions. According to Steve O'Connor, President of Carey DAM/IT, "Together, Asset Request 2.0 and Picflow 4.0 raise the bar for enterprise and workgroup workflow and digital asset management systems by offering an integrated and configurable tool set providing clients a significant return on investment." Unlike other systems that force fit a pre-determined workflow, Picflow can now be configured to match a client's business processes and workflows with more precision, using business rules and logic to both route files and assign custom fields and categories in Cumulus - automatically! This reduces significantly the administrative overhead normally associated with a Digital Asset Management solution, while guaranteeing both consistency and quality of the meta-data associated with assets in Cumulus. "Carey DAM/IT has long recognized Canto as a dominant force in the burgeoning asset management market. The CCSI training gave us the opportunity to expand Carey DAM/IT's wide experience in customizing Cumulus, giving us a competitive edge that is perceivable in daily operations", said Chris Telling, VP of Business Development of Carey DAM/IT. Asset Request 2.0 allows for an intelligent online ordering system with routing - where every order is tracked and verified via e-mail notification ˆ that lets users get their files any way they want them: via e-mail, ftp, web or even on a CD-ROM. Because of the flexibility of the web-based solution, it even allows ordering of other products and services via the same front-end: letting a printer's customers order reprints and proofs ˆ and automatically routing the files to the production department at the printer for example. Carey DAM/IT created a complete DAM solution based around Canto's Cumulus, something we call Carey DAM. This solution creates a structured workflow between the people involved in the process of bringing graphical communications to market. Images, sounds, text, logos, layouts, presentations and illustrations - all assets can be tracked, logged, shared and given new use with Carey DAM. In digital form your work represents an extremely valuable group of assets. Carey DAM organizes and controls your assets. Carey DAM will save significant time and money in the day to day collaborative process between creatives, end-clients and service providers.
