Pitney Bowes Office Systems Announces Executive Staff Appointments

TRUMBULL, Conn., March 15, 2001 - Pitney Bowes Office Systems today announced key appointments and organizational structure in its executive management team. Reporting directly to CEO Marc C. Breslawsky, this senior executive team was selected for not only their tenure but also for their entrepreneurial outlook and experience in fast growing organizations. "I have seen first hand how these individuals have applied their leadership skills and talents to guide businesses through periods of rapid technological change and increasingly competitive business conditions," stated Breslawsky. "Their ability to establish industry-leading best practices in their respective disciplines -- including sales, marketing, technology sourcing/development and recruiting -- will be absolutely essential as we move through this transition and become an independent company later this year." Dennis Roney has been appointed president of Worldwide Sales and Customer Marketing responsible for sales, tactical marketing, business products centers operations, aftermarket revenue and international operations. Prior to this new leadership role, Roney served as executive vice president and group president, Pitney Bowes Office Systems. As previously announced, Joseph Skrzypczak has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the financial, accounting, administrative, Information technology, and reporting responsibilities of the company. Skrzypczak returns to Pitney Bowes after a 6-year absence in which he was Chief Operating Officer at the Dictaphone Corporation. Nathaniel Gifford assumes the role of vice president, Product Development and Strategic Marketing. In his new role, Gifford will guide all product sourcing and development, industrial design and engineering initiatives as well as strategic marketing, Cypress sales, sales training, inventory control, purchasing and new product information. In addition to his leadership role as vice president, Customer Service Operations, John Chillock will oversee the national Diagnostic Center in Melbourne, Florida. Chillock has been instrumental in initiating and implementing programs that increase the quality of customer a service provided to customers and the sales organization. Janine McManus will continue in her role of vice president, Human Resources and will be responsible for driving cultural change through creating and implementing innovative programs and best practices in the areas of leadership, employee communications, staffing and benefits and compensation.
