Kevin Cushing of AlphaGraphics thinks Print CEO Forum is a great way to get exposed to industry insight

Cary Sherburne:  I’m Cary Sherburne, Senior Editor at WhatTheyThink.com and I’m here with Kevin Cushing who is CEO of Alpha Graphics.  And this is your second time of coming to the Print CEO Forum, it’s only the second Print CEO Forum, so 100% attendance, you’re one of our best alumni. 

Kevin Cushing:  It was hard to be here three times. 

Cary Sherburne:  Maybe you could talk to us just a little bit about what the value of this event to you. 

Kevin Cushing:  Well, I always find it very important to expose myself, you know, get out of the office, get out of your kind of traditional chain of exposing yourself, whether it’s through reading or attending sessions like this either inside or outside the industry.  I think WhatTheyThink.com has done with the Print CEO Forum has been great.  It’s a very concise and efficient use of time and I know people are very busy today, so to know that you can come for a day and a half and get exposed to the resources that you have lined up from Margie Dana, Dr. Joe Webb, Barb Pellow and on and on; it’s efficient, we’re with fellow leaders in the industry and it’s just a good time to kind of get exposed and stimulated by other people’s knowledge that they have to share. 

Cary Sherburne:  That’s great and one of the things we introduced this year in 2010 is the Print CEO of the Year Award and we ended up with 30 very highly qualified nominations.  You were one of them. 

Kevin Cushing:  Thank you. 

Cary Sherburne:  Next year when Net Vision IV is like fully launched you will probably be at the top of the list, in the top five.  We’re looking for that. 

Kevin Cushing:  Then I’ll come down for dinner. 

Cary Sherburne:  But we also think that it’s really good to recognize some of the really great work that’s going on out there. 

Kevin Cushing:  No, you’re exactly right.  The people that have been nominated for the award and the finalists are outstanding leaders in our industry and my company and the industry at large has benefited from the things that those leaders have brought.
