US commercial printing shipments for May16 were $7.37 billion, the highest level in current dollars for the month since 2013. Shipments were up +$86 million (+1.2%) compared to last year. After inflation, shipments were down -$12 million (-0.2%), essentially flat with last year.

April 2016 shipments were revised down by -$50 million to $7.21 billion (-2.2% in current dollars, -3.3% after inflation adjustment).

For the first five months of 2016, shipments are up approximately +$476 million in current dollars (+1.4%) and up +$79 billion after inflation (+0.2%).
