Printing Industry Consulting, Speakers, Economic Advisory Services, and Custom Research
Andrew Tribute is an internationally known expert in the applications of digitization of the media, publishing and printing industries. He is Managing Partner of Attributes Associates, a specialist consultancy organization for these industries. He is also a visiting professor at University of the Arts, London. He has been in the printing and publishing industry since completing a Degree in Printing Management in 1964 at the London College of Printing (now the London College of Communications, a member college of University of the Arts, London). Following a short period working in a management role in the printing industry, he has specialised in the application of computers in printing and publishing since 1968. In that time he has worked for both users and vendors of systems in various roles.
In 1984 he established Attributes, a specialist consultancy company in the application of computers in printing and publishing areas. In 1985 he contracted with Seybold Publications Inc., to provide editorial services for European activities. He worked with Seybold until September 2000 as its International Editor, when he relinquished this role to concentrate on his other business activities. He is however still a member of the Seybold Publications Editorial Board.
These activities are consultancy for a wide range of clients throughout the world, both users and vendors of publishing and printing systems. Attributes Associates advises on technical and marketing issues in printing, publishing and media. He is a regular speaker at conferences on a global basis, often in a keynote role. In this he frequently speaks at specialist seminars for a range of vendors of equipment as well as speaking at many of the major international trade exhibitions.
In addition to his position as Managing Partner of Attributes Associates, he also assists InfoTrends/CAP Ventures, the leading worldwide market research and strategic consulting firm for the digital imaging and document solutions industry, as an Associate Consultant for its European On Demand Printing & Publishing Consulting Service. As an Associate Consultant he contributes to InfoTrends/CAP Ventures’ service with written reports, market coverage, and private client work.
In addition to his consulting operations, he also writes a monthly syndicated column that is published by many of the key international printing magazines throughout the world. In the USA he writes a weekly column published under the heading “Tribute’s Tuesday” by whattheythink.com, the leading online publication for developments within the printing and publishing markets. He has also been a Fellow of the UK’s Institute of Printing.
