David Dodd

G. David Dodd is a principal of Point Balance, LLC, an executive education and management consulting firm based in Nashville, Tennessee.  Dodd has been advising graphic communications industry enterprises for over fifteen years.  His clients have included numerous printing and publishing companies, leading industry suppliers such as Hewlett Packard, Xerox, and Kodak, and the US Department of State.

Dodd works with clients on a variety of strategic and financial issues including business strategy development and implementation, enterprise performance management, activity-based costing, pricing strategy development, and process improvement programs such as lean management.

Dodd is a recognized author.  Some of his more significant published works include Activity-Based Costing at CMYK Communications, Making Value Added Services Work, Activity-Based Costing for Printers, “For Better Business Strategy—Draw a Map,” “Pricing for Profitability,” and “Throw Away BHR’s:  Win the Pricing Game.”

Dodd has been a featured speaker and presenter at numerous industry events.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Law.
