Press release from the issuing company

KANSAS CITY, MO (August 1, 2007) – In its continuing effort to offer green solutions, Henry Wurst, Inc. recently received the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain-of-custody certification. FSC certifiers track forest products, such as paper, through the supply chain and issue a “chain-of-custody” certification to businesses like printers and paper mills, using FSC principles and standards to assess forest management.
“We are proud to receive certification from the Forest Stewardship Council, which sets high standards promoting environmentally responsible forest management practices worldwide, sustaining the earth’s forest resources for future generations,” said Michael Wurst, President/CEO, Henry Wurst, Inc.
For the past 13 years, more than 5.5 million miles (90 million hectares) in 82 countries have been certified according to FSC standards while several thousand products are produced using FSC-certified wood that carry the FSC trademark. FSC operates through its network of National Initiatives in 43 countries, according to the FSC’s official website.
“We are pleased that Henry Wurst, Inc. has received FSC chain-of-custody certification,” said Ken Fite, Central Region Plant Manager, Henry Wurst, Inc.?
Promoting responsible forest management practices builds upon that work, Fite said.
FSC Certification was awarded to Henry Wurst, Inc.’s Central region plant (SCS Certification Registration Number: SCS-COC-001052).
Henry Wurst, Inc.’s operations in Denver and North Carolina are eligible for certification as well.
