Roland DG to Showcase UV Print Solutions at Sign and Digital UK

Press release from the issuing company

Clevedon, UK – Roland DG will take a selection of its key products to the forthcoming Sign and Digital UK 2020 show, with a particular focus on its market-leading UV printing solutions.

Taking place at Birmingham's NEC from April 28th to 30th 2020, Sign and Digital UK will bring together leading brands, major industry stakeholders and thousands of attendees from the digital printing, sign-making and display markets. This informative trade exhibition has been attracting professionals from across the UK and beyond for over 30 years.

The exciting potential of UV printing
For previous editions of Sign and Digital UK, Roland has demonstrated its extensive range of imaging technologies, including eco-solvent, dye-sublimation, UV, laser engraving and more. However, for this year's show the industry pioneer – located on stand F10 – will put its UV printing solutions in the spotlight.

Rob Goleniowski, Head of Sales UK & Ireland at Roland DG, explains why: "We want signage professionals to seriously consider UV print as an option for their business. We've seen a lot of businesses grow as a result of including UV in their production and we want to communicate the big difference that this technology can make."

Roland UV solutions for every business
Roland's flagship UV system at Sign and Digital UK will be the new IU-1000F, a high-production flatbed UV printer with a footprint of around 15.7 x 7.2 feet – perfect for creating large signage. It also offers exceptional speed and quality, essential qualities for those competing for business in the signage market.

Alongside this will be the Roland VersaUV LEC2-300, the latest printer/cutter to join the range. Thanks to Roland's innovative UV ink, the LEC2 can print clear ink for simulated embossing, other textural effects and Braille – as well as delivering exceptional imaging quality in CMYK and white and fantastic cutting accuracy.

For adding personalisation and decoration to smaller items, the hugely popular VersaUV LEF2 series – also on show at the NEC in April – excels. This small-footprint UV solution also prints sharp white, vibrant CMYK, and clear inks for textured effects, and performs fast, direct printing onto a huge range of materials and products.

"The LEF fits a lot of capability into a relatively compact machine," comments Rob Goleniowski. "Considering the breadth of products that can be created, it's pretty easy to get a quick return on your investment."

A choice of printing technologies
In addition, Roland's eco solvent print and cut technology will be on show. Sign and Digital UK attendees will be able to experience the TrueVIS VG2-640, an award-winning printer/cutter developed on the foundation of intensive research. The VG2-640 delivers superb cutting accuracy and incredibly accurate colour reproduction, thanks to new TR2 inks with orange. Users can also expect to finish stunning quality prints in just six hours with this efficient production device.

Roland's Sign and Digital UK technology showcase can be found at stand F10 from April 28th to 30th 2020. More announcements will be released in due course. For further information on Roland DG, please visit www.rolanddg.co.uk
