RSA Features Web Based Production Software at On Demand

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y.---April 18, 2002--Rochester Software Associates, Inc. (RSA), a software development and consulting firm with its headquarters in Rochester, New York, announced that the latest release of WebCRD(TM) will be featured at the On Demand Digital Printing & Publishing Strategy Conference at New York's Jacob Javits Convention Center, April 23-25. Demonstrations of WebCRD and other RSA solutions will be available in the RSA exhibit, booth# 760. RSA's WebCRD provides a complete, print fulfillment and production software solution targeted for in-house print centers and facilities management sites. Typical users are large corporations, universities, financial and government offices. WebCRD is browser-based, making services available from any computer with network or Internet access. This solution supports the entire print fulfillment process, from order placement and file submission to print production, including direct submission to production printers with detailed job tickets. WebCRD is flexible and easy to use. Print orders can be submitted quickly, conveniently, and accurately, guiding users through the entire print order process. Users have the ability to specify printing and finishing requirements for single and multi-document orders, and provide shipping and billing information from a personal address book. Key features include instant online proofing, a "digital filing cabinet" for fast and convenient access to any documents archived in the system, reorder capability, job status information via the web and email, print ready PDF creation, site branding, and automated job submission direct to printers. WebCRD enables print centers and facilities management sites to improve productivity with automated production procedures and order status reporting. Print centers can accept and process orders, track orders received, update job status information, and bill users or departments for completed jobs. Administrative and support costs are reduced and fewer errors provides immediate savings. Tim Kelly, RSA Sr. Vice President, stated, "WebCRD is scalable to meet the needs of the most demanding customers. It can be tailored to fit the customer's requirements, including creating a unique corporate ''look" to access screens. WebCRD makes submission or re-order of documents easy, plus, the print center has the power to track and automate the print process." RSA is an industry leader providing software solutions for digital document production, viewing and management since 1986. Solutions include print-on-demand software, web order and production software, networking and connectivity, database development and print transform software, including its award winning M.I.S. Print(TM). M.I.S. Print software converts LCDS and AFP/IPDS data streams, enabling customers to print mainframe applications on any network-attached production, midrange or desktop printer.
