Stop Laminating – Print with SYNAPS

Press release from the issuing company

Nekoosa features its portfolio of SYNAPS, synthetic polyester film

Nekoosa, Wis. – Nekoosa SYNAPS is a revolutionary polyester film that prints and dries like every day paper – without the need for special inks. The result? Great looking prints that hold their shape and color without extra laminates and coatings.

Dave Pryor, Owner and President at Quality Plus Printing in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin says, “As a business owner it helps my bottom line. It gives me products that I can offer the customer, I would not be able to. It reduces steps without having to laminate – it gives a better product.” Not only is SYNAPS waterproof, tear-proof and fade resistant, but it possesses superior dimensional stability for precise color registration. These characteristics ensure it lays flat, even when rolled. “It’s so durable. If it gets dirty, you can wash it with soap and water. It can be outside, so it’s a whole different substrate than paper,” added Pryor.

SYNAPS OM - SYNAPS OM dries quickly without the need for special offset inks – just like uncoated paper. Printers can win and quickly turn around new opportunities for menus, charts and signage. Available in 5 mil, 8 mil, 10 mil and 14 mil.

SYNAPS XM - SYNAPS XM is engineered for dry toner/laser printing for on demand, high-quality printing. Toner fuses with the synthetic paper to make the finished product both durable and naturally resistant to water and grease. Available in 5 mil, 8 mil, 10 mil, 12 mil and 14 mil.

Common applications for SYNAPS include, but are not limited to: menus, maps, manuals and catalogs, shelf talkers and wobblers, business membership and I.D. cards, hole punched tags, direct mail, temporary license plates, door hangers, scored table tents and recipe cards.
