Web Offset Association Announces print contest call for entries

Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania October 7, 2008 The Web Offset Association (WOA), a special interest group of PIA/GATF, announces its Call for Entries for the 2009 WOA Annual Print Awards Competition. From around the world, top companies compete to see if they have what it takes to be the "best of the best" in the web offset print arena.

Winning pieces are rewarded with the highest designation in the web offset industry. Having the distinction of being an award winning company helps attract customers, improves your name recognition, and makes you stand out against your competitors

Organizations that are striving to be the best make a dedicated effort to improve their quality and don’t settle for anything less than perfection. Companies who have never entered before are urged to see if they can reach the highest peak in their industry.

“For Bartash Printing, the WOA Print Awards are more than something to brag about. Internally, they give us a benchmark standard to live up to. Externally, they represent third party validation of our capabilities from a respected evaluating organization,” said Richard Greene, director of marketing, Bartash Printing. “They validate our existing clients’ decisions to work with us, and reassure new prospects that they are dealing with the best possible supplier.”

Recipients will be honored and winning entries will be prominently displayed during the Printer-to-Printer Business and Technology Conference, Offset and Beyond, May 3-6, 2009 at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada.  This signature event features world renowned speakers, one-of-a kind peer-to-peer networking, and the most practical information for sheetfed and offset printers.

Members of the SNAP Committee serve as the official judges for the print competition.  Detailed information on eligibility, categories, rules, and judging criteria can be found at www.woaprintcompetition.org.

Deadline for entries is January 16, 2009. For more information, contact Justin Goldstein, Contest Manager at 412-259-1806 or [email protected].
