Organisers of Sign & Digital UK today announce the HEXIS UK Wrap Battle Contest will be back for the 2020 Show. Following the success of last year’s competition, HEXIS is returning to the NEC with the three-day contest to crown a new ‘Best UK Installer’ for 2020.

Two heats and a semi-final will take place on the show floor each day where participants will compete in 10 minute-long contests. Entrants will be judged on speed, efficiency and quality of work, with the daily winners progressing to a grand finale on the show’s closing day, Thursday 30 April.

Once again there will be the opportunity to win over £5,500 of prizes.

Sign & Digital UK event director Jenny Matthew commented: “There are lots of new features we’re excited about for the 2020 show, but we are particularly thrilled to welcome back the HEXIS Battle this year. The contest went down a storm at the 2019 show, attracting big crowds each day and creating a real presence on the show floor. It’s an excellent way to showcase and celebrate the skilled wrappers within the industry. We’re all excited to see what the 2020 contenders have to show us!”

2020 will also be the year that all visitors can have a go on the day. HEXIS is going to be running a new speed wrap competition named the SKINTAC Time Trial Challenge, where visitors put their wrapping skills to the test in timed conditions.

Stuart Shenton, HEXIS sales and marketing manager added: “As with last year's battle, new HEXIS materials will be introduced round-by-round to make each heat gradually more difficult for the contestants.

“The judges will score each contestant on accuracy of fitting, speed, quality of finish, health and safety at work, work ethic and technique. With the crown for the UK’s best wrapper up for grabs, may the best contestant win!

The Battle Wrap competition is free to enter, participants simply need to complete the online form at https://www.signuk.com/hexis-battle-wrap-contest

The SKINTAC Time Trial Challenge is also free to enter, visitors can sign up on the day at the Hexis stand.
