American Forest & Paper Association Releases October 2019 Packaging Papers Monthly Report

Washington, D.C. – The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the October 2019 Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly report on November 15.
Total packaging papers & specialty packaging shipments in October decreased five percent compared to October 2018. They were down six percent when compared to the same ten months of 2018.
The operating rate was 89.9 percent, down 3.4 points from October 2018 and down 5.4 points year-to-date.
Mill inventories at the end of October decreased 6,000 short tons from the previous month and were down 2,000 short tons compared to October 2018.
