Dallas, Tex. – Avanti Computer Systems Ltd, the market leader in Print MIS software, and Enfocus BV, the premier leader in PDF quality control, advanced PDF editing and workflow automation for the graphic arts industry, today jointly announced an agreement under which Avanti will market, sell and support Enfocus products in Canada and the United States. The agreement was signed at the Printing United trade show in Dallas and extends the collaborative partnership agreement that was signed earlier this year.

What does this mean for customers?
As an OEM partner, Avanti will be able to offer Enfocus Switch with all its modules and Enfocus PitStop Server, together with training and support services to its current customers, and will offer a bundled solution to new customers. Being able to offer a complete solution from a single source will provide customers a smooth, uniform and efficient integration, backed with the knowhow that customers are accustomed to receiving from Avanti.

Taking advantage of the Enfocus Appstore
Under this partnership Avanti will also utilize the Enfocus Appstore online marketplace by making apps available for Enfocus Switch that eases the integration with Avanti Slingshot and makes it uniform for all customers. The apps will provide bi-directional JDF job ticket exchange for automated job processing and updates of production status back into Avanti Slingshot. While job processing is fully automatic, customers will remain in control over processes using dashboard and reporting features present in both Avanti Slingshot® and Enfocus Switch.

Initiating PDF proofs from within Avanti Slingshot
Avanti will also be able to offer its customers PDF proofing. This functionality is provided using the PDF Review Module for Switch. Adding this module allows print service providers to offer a fully automated process for providing online PDF proofing. The proofing cycle will be triggered from Avanti Slingshot® when it submits a job. Enfocus Switch receives the Job in JDF and will automatically manage the invitations to print buyers by sending emails including the URL to the PDF file that awaits approval, and sends approve and reject statuses back to Avanti Slingshot®.
