PlanLink.biz to Debut at IRgA 2002 Show, Las Vegas

Press release from the issuing company

Woburn, MA (4/8/02) – Charrette ProGraphics is pleased to announce that it will now make available to the reprographics industry its web-based plan room, PlanLink. PlanLink was developed internally by Charrette staff and has been in active use with clients for the past two years. Charrette ProGraphics will be launching it’s new venture at the International Reprographic Assoc. annual convention and trade show, May 15 – 17, Las Vegas. The company has formed a new group, PlanLink.biz, to focus on bringing the software to other reprographic firms wishing to expand into e-commerce. The IRgA show’s theme "Reprographics in the New e-conomy: Global Solutions for a Changing Industry" will provide the ideal forum for PlanLink.biz which offers Web Services and Internet Plan Rooms to reprographers. The PlanLink.biz product is an easily integrated solution that reprographers can confidently bring to their AEC-based customers. President Mark DiPasquale states "PlanLink.biz transitions the traditional reprographics’ business model to the efficiencies of electronic document management, storage and printing. It’s the ideal vehicle for all independent reprographers to painlessly make the inevitable move to digital applications." Web Services Manager Patrick Colpoys adds "PlanLink.biz simply takes the traditional AEC-based business of working with hard copy plans and specs and moves it to the Web. The difference is both the reprographer and their customer’s benefit from increased control, security and speed." PlanLink.biz is backed by the Charrette Corp. which offers yet another plus: it has been developed by reprographers for reprographers. The core team behind PlanLink.biz comes from fifty-plus combined years of experience in reprographics. And, just as important, the group is on the front lines of rapidly developing, digital technologies. Development of PlanLink.biz by active reprographers has also meant that many features of the product have evolved from the suggestions of key AEC customer users – another point of benefit. "It is a tool that was born of practicality and necessity for our customers" DiPasquale states "that we are now ready to introduce to the benefit of other reprographers." Charrette, founded in 1964, is dedicated to providing products and reprographic services to the design and construction marketplace. It employs over 900 staff in 17 states. Charrette’s ProGraphics division is a technology-based, reprographics management and services group that serves business and design professionals. It provides value-added reprographic services and web-based tools to the professional marketplace through its web site and over 240 On-Site Services (OSS) programs and twenty-one service centers in the United States
