ACG Inspection to Open "Centre of Excellence" in Switzerland

Press release from the issuing company

  • A three-day ‘Technology Open House” to celebrate innovation
  • Helping customers to be ‘future-ready’

Yverdon, Switzerland – ACG Inspection, a division of ACG – the world’s only integrated pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging solutions company - is to open a new ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Switzerland, supporting the company’s continued global expansion. The office will be the headquarters for logistics, development, data, service support, FAT and project management for ACG Inspections in Europe.

To celebrate the launch in Yverdon, the company is holding a three-day ‘open doors’ celebration, inviting customers and media to join the team at the ‘Centre of Excellence’. At this event, ACG Inspection will showcase its future-ready technologies, such as: Brand Protection, Geo-Location Identification, Process Analytical Technology (PAT), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Temperature Monitoring, Inspection 4.0 (AI Powered) and End-To-End Tracentication. Visitors to the centre will be able to experience live technology demos across all three days.

Commenting on the launch of the ‘Centre of Excellence’, Mr. Ettore Cucchetti, CEO, ACG Inspection, said: “Our team’s focus is centred around better understanding of customer challenges. Our new ‘Centre of Excellence’ will allow the team to create adaptive solutions in response to customer needs and requirements – helping to make them future-ready. It is set to be a hub of R&D in the region, with aims to discover new technologies for serialization, aggregation, PAT, blister inspection, authentication, and track & trace solutions (including geo-localisation and temperature monitoring). We will subsequently be moving in a new business and assembly premises for Europe of about 1000m2. This facility is planned to be ready by the end of 2020.”

Mr. Philippe Leuba, State Councillor in charge of the Department of Economy, Innovation and Sport, added: "The arrival of ACG Inspection SA adds to the Health Valley, which already has nearly 400 businesses and a total of about 20,000 jobs. Beyond these figures, investments in pharmaceuticals lead to the provision of new treatments for the patient.”

Following the opening of an ‘Experience Studio’ by ACG Inspection in Moscow in January this year, the Switzerland office becomes a part of ACG Inspection’s European base.
