Murfreesboro, N.C. – An assortment of industry representatives is making a concentrated effort to expand the graphic communication library at Chowan University in North Carolina. They are seeking industry support through the donation of books, printing related magazines, journals, and related material. The library is especially needing books in the graphics field. This is an opportunity for everyone to contribute towards educating young people who are studying for a career in the graphic communication industry.

The publications will be housed in the Graphic Communications Department with full access allowed to students. Chowan has hundreds of graduates who are now professionals working in industry positions across the United States. These include owners and presidents, sales managers, supervisors, and technical trainers. Chowan graduates have had, and are having, a significant impact on the success of every aspect of the graphics industry.

Longtime and well-known industry consultant, Raymond J. Prince, is one of the leaders of the effort to gain materials for the school. Prince stated, “I am proud to support this effort and encourage my friends and associates to assist with the request for materials. Industry members are reminded that many collections have been discarded when not designated for a donation when someone passes away. Started in 1953, The Krueger School of Graphic Communications is celebrating its sixty-sixth year of developing the talents of young people for placement into the graphic communications industries. The William A. Krueger School of Graphic Communications at Chowan University is housed in a 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. It offers a curriculum in print and digital media leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. The program appeals to students having an interest in creativity, science, technology and management. Students are prepared for careers in the printing, publishing, and packaging industries.
