ControlP Set to Launch New e-commerce Solution edit2print at IPEX

Press release from the issuing company

April 4, 2002 -- ControlP plc, the AIM listed e-commerce print software specialist, is launching a new software product at IPEX, 9-17th April, NEC, Birmingham, United Kingdom – Hall 4, Stand 558. edit2print is an online system to streamline the ordering of printed collateral, including product brochures and point of sale to stationery. Without the use of proprietary software purchasers can strip out up to 60% of the indirect costs of administering print buying. What’s more, print vendors can increase margins on product sales by some 20-25%. edit2print enables collateral users to change images or texts via the Internet or an intranet, within strict guidelines, view a soft proof and proceed directly to print, providing printers with a high resolution PDF and job ticket information. The product can either be acquired as a stand-alone system or in conjunction with other e-commerce management tools. "This technology is at such a level of sophistication that it has an application within a number of different commercial sectors, from point of sale to localised marketing collateral. Such that, following on from significant beta testing we are looking forward to announcing a number of familiar names that have adopted the technology. edit2print guarantees brand integrity, drastically reduces costs yet maintains service levels despite the pressures of the current economic climate", said Daniel Emerson, General Manager ControlP plc.
