RMGT Again Hosts the Commit to Print Booth Featuring LED-UV Technology

Placentia, Calif. – RMGT proudly announces that the award-winning RMGT 9 Series offset press will help kick off the inaugural PRINTING United show in Dallas on October 23-25, 2019. “With over 70 new installations since our first exhibit at Graph Expo 2014, we felt that once again running live demonstrations of our press at the first PRINTING United would draw crowds to the show and to our booth,” states Kian Hemmen, Director of Sales, Print & Finishing Solutions, the RMGT Distributor for the Southwestern US.

“Our Commit to Print booth will focus closely on bringing greater profit to what is still the largest portion of most commercial printer’s annual revenue; offset print. Seeing is believing and we will demonstrate live how RMGT printers enjoy a huge reduction in manufacturing cost through investment in our RMGT 9 Series press,” continues Hemmen. The 5-Color with Coater press featuring LED-UV curing, fully-automated plate changing and Insta.Color make-ready automation will run live press demonstrations every hour, on the half hour and visitors will witness for themselves how RMGT technology is redefining the economics of print throughout North America.

Visitors to the RMGT Commit to Print booth #9551 located in the Commercial & Packaging Pavilion of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, will be able to experience live demonstrations taking actual jobs from live print to finished product. The RMGT press will produce LED-UV cured 16-page signatures that are then cut down using an Itotec eRC Robocut paper cutter before the Standard Horizon StitchLiner Mark III Saddlebinds the 20-page booklets. The finished booklets will be distributed during the show.

“Now that we have over 70 installations in North America, the RMGT 9 Series stands alone as the #1 seller in the super-efficient 8-up press category that we pioneered starting in 2014,” states Hemmen. Continuing, “Equipped with innovative technology such as LED-UV curing, fully automatic plate changing, and advanced color management systems, the RMGT 9 Series press is allowing printers to pull more short-run jobs back to offset. And the great thing is that this same platform can easily produce a 600,000 sheet run for the same customers longer run projects.”

“As we like to say, the RMGT 9 Series press provides ‘Offset Quality at Digital Quantities’,” comments Chris Manley, President of Graphco, the RMGT Distributor for the Midwest and Southeast US. “The RMGT 9 Series has redefined the economics of print, and commercial printers are avoiding click charges and moving many jobs back to super-efficient LED-UV cured offset. We have found that when our customers attend our shows and actually experience the incredible ease of use, efficiency and print quality these amazing machines help sell themselves. Our visitors often move ahead with their investment so I’m sure our Commit to Print booth will be packed again this year.”

Hemmen adds, “Year in and year out my customers have thanked us for being the only company running live press demonstrations at the show. Many printers in North America have also said thank you by purchasing an RMGT and we are very grateful for their support as well. There’s only one way to Commit to Printand we are glad to exhibit our press live at PRINTING United.”

Another highlight of the live printing demonstration will be 2020 Calendars produced for the Museum of Printing, based in Haverhill, MA. “We are grateful to RMGT for creating a printed calendar that leverages print and elements of augmented reality in telling unique stories in the history of print,” states Frank Romano, Director of the Museum of Printing. There will be autograph sessions during the show where Frank Romano will be signing copies of this unique calendar.
