Colter & Peterson Purchases Seybold Paper Cutter Parts Business

Press release from the issuing company

Paterson, NJ -- April 4, 2002 -- On March 29, 2002, Colter & Peterson, Inc. purchased the Harris-Seybold paper cutter parts division from Graphic Systems and Services, Inc. Originally located in Dayton, Ohio the Seybold Machine Company manufactured paper cutters from 1896 until 1975. The company was spun off to become Harris Graphics. After further divesting the Seybold parts business was sold to AM Graphics who in turn sold it to Graphic Systems and Services, Inc. in 1995. Colter & Peterson has a long history with Seybold paper cutters dating back to 1918 when one of the company founders, Erik Peterson, began working for the Seybold Machine Company. In 1932, he formed Hagman & Peterson to supply customers with rebuilt paper cutters that they had purchased in trade from Harris-Seybold. From its humble beginnings, Hagman & Peterson developed to become Colter & Peterson, Inc., the largest national organization dedicated to the sale and service of paper cutters and paper handling equipment. With their long history and experience of having sold thousands of rebuilt paper cutters, many of them made by Harris-Seybold, as well as providing service for every brand of paper cutter, Colter & Peterson is considered in the industry to be the Cutter People. In the future, please contact Colter & Peterson at 1-800-932-0780 to order Harris-Seybold paper cutter parts. Colter & Peterson can also supply update kits to allow most Harris-Seybold paper cutters to meet current OSHA and ANSI safety standards. With fifteen (15) field technicians, Colter & Peterson can respond immediately if your Harris-Seybold, or any other type of paper cutter needs service. If needed, Colter & Peterson can completely overhaul any make and model paper cutter at its New Jersey facility.
