At $14,995 for the Falcon Outdoor 46 and $19,995 for the Falcon Outdoor 62, the cost of entry into outdoor durable digital printing has never been more affordable. The Falcon Outdoor is a complete solution, as each unit ships with individually controlled pre and post heaters for instant drying and expanded media capability; automatic media take-up system for unattended printing; Mutoh PosterShop 5.5 Lite RIP software and a starter kit of Falcon Outdoor Eco ink. The Falcon Outdoor also includes a one-year on-site warranty. The Falcon Outdoor uses newly developed Eco-solvent inks that do not require special ventilation or environmental equipment. The Eco Solvent inks are not only UV durable, but offer the widest color gamut when compared to other inks in this class. Eco-Solvent inks are offered in six colors, cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light cyan & light magenta. Prints are UV and water resistant for up to three years outdoors. Lamination is recommended for applications that require abrasion resistance. Eco-Solvent ink consumption for the Falcon Outdoor printers is extremely low, consuming only 4.66 ml per sq. meter in 360 dpi print mode and 7.98 ml per sq. meter in 720 dpi mode. Falcon Outdoor print speeds vary between 14.49 sq. meter/h at 360 x 180 dpi, 3.6 sq. meter/h at 720 x 720 dpi and 0.68 sq. meter/h at 1440 x 1440 dpi. The new Mutoh Falcon Outdoor offers 360, 720 and 1440 dpi -printing using drop-on-demand piezoelectric inkjet print heads, and is based on the popular Falcon Inkjet Series.
