TLMI to Hold St. Louis Area Landfill Avoidance & Waste Summit October 16th

Press release from the issuing company

Milford, Ohio – TLMI announces that the association will be holding its first Landfill Avoidance & Waste Summit October 16, 2019 at the Double Tree Hotel in Chesterfield, MO. This is the first in a series of regional waste summits the association will be holding in different parts of the U.S. in the coming months. The St. Louis event is open to all converters (TLMI members and non-members), TLMI supplier members and all SGIA members.

During the St. Louis summit, converter attendees can learn how to start their own journeys toward landfill-free sustainability practices. Over the course of the morning and afternoon, attendees will hear from a panel of recyclers and regional waste-hauling companies who can help them kickstart their own landfill avoidance programs.

Dan Muenzer, TLMI President, comments, “Sustainability is an area where we can come together as an association. None of our members have the individual resources in place to constantly gauge and assess sustainability options and technologies so as an association, TLMI has made this one of the central pillars of our strategic plan. The St. Louis event will be the first of a series of regional summits where converter members can come together and learn about landfill-avoidance and the recycling of PET liner, paper liner and matrix. During our time together, different logistical partners will be addressing how we can collectively integrate and routinize best sustainability practices. I strongly urge any and all greater St. Louis-area converter members to attend and of course, converters from further afield are also welcome.”
