At Pack Expo Las Vegas, Omega Design to Feature Secure Aggregation System for Serialized Cartons or Bottles

Press release from the issuing company

Intelli-Pac™ seamlessly integrates case aggregation technology per looming 2023 DSCSA deadline.

Company also will showcase premier equipment for bottle unscrambling, shrink bundling and desiccant feeding.

Exton, Pa. – Omega Design Corporation – a global provider of innovative packaging machinery for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and consumer healthcare industries, and a worldwide leader in bottle unscrambling technology – will feature a module that meets the approaching 2023 DSCSA aggregation deadline at Pack Expo Las Vegas, Sept. 23-25. At Booth C-4433, the company will demonstrate its Intelli-Pac™ Serialized Case Aggregation System for the handling of serialized cartons or bottles.

Configurable from manual to semi-automatic operation, the Intelli-Pac Serialized Case Aggregation System is the premier end-of-line packing and aggregation solution for loose, or bundled, bottles and cartons. This secure, efficient workflow involves a manual packing operation combined with semi-automatic technologies to form, label, inspect and seal a case. The semi-automatic version comes complete with a case former, case labeler and overhead layer inspection camera bracket, and provides connectivity to a customer’s preferred data management system.

Several upgrades to the Intelli-Pac module are available that further enhance its product tracking capabilities. For example, an add-on called PackSync™ provides unit-to-bundle aggregation.

Other machines that Omega Design Corporation will showcase at Pack Expo Las Vegas include:

Ideal for a variety of bottles used in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and personal healthcare industries, the cost-efficient LCX Bottle Unscrambler is easily integrated into new and existing packaging lines. Offering patented rotary cam pockets, the machine is available in several different configurations and can handle over 300 bottles per minute. Highlights include an Operator Interface Terminal (OIT) touchscreen and bulk supply hopper with elevator.

Omega Design’s shrink bundlers with heat tunnels are available in multiple configurations and are ideal for collating and protecting bottles, cartons and trays. The machines are prepared to meet the toughest infeed or discharge challenges, including 90-degree or fifth-panel carton orientation, vertical carton stacking, lane dividing and more. At Pack Expo, the company will feature a dual-lane setup that shrink wraps products into bundles using a clear, low-density polyethylene film that provides product protection, bundle stability and aesthetic appeal.

The world’s fastest pouch desiccant feeder, the Omega PDF, is built for speed and scalability. Its servo controlled, fully automatic operation handles all brands and is easily adjustable for single drops, multiple drops, and different desiccant sizes. Changeover is rapid and repeatable. The machine is ideal for bottles, jars, trays, electronics, consumer goods, almost anything a pouch can be dropped into. Standard features include Allen Bradley controls, pouch reel storage cabinet on casters, electrical safety interlocks, and spacing belts. Can be upgraded to add canister dispensing capability.
