Burton Expands Role of President and CEO, Elected Chairman Of Moore

TORONTO & STAMFORD, Conn.--April 2, 2002--Moore Corporation Limited, announced today that Robert G. Burton, the company's President and Chief Executive Officer has been elected to the additional role of Chairman of Moore Corporation Limited by the Corporation's Board of Directors effective at the Annual Shareholders Meeting on April 18, 2002. Speaking for the Board of Directors, Mark A. Angelson, head of the nominating and governance committee stated: "Bob Burton is an inspirational leader who has earned this recognition by setting the highest standards for himself, his management team, and the company as a whole. Bob has taken on every challenge and kept every promise. When Bob joined Moore in December 2000, he articulated a detailed action plan for this company. He and his team have delivered 100% of what they committed. We are very grateful to Bob and look forward to continuing to work closely with him." Robert G. Burton, President and Chief Executive Officer stated: "I appreciate the recognition the Board has given to me and the expansion of my role at Moore. With this additional role, I intend to continue driving this company in the same direction that it is being led currently. Our game plan is very straightforward.
