Toshiba Launches New e-STUDIO210c and 310c Color Copiers

Versatile Document Handling, Quality Color Reproductions and Networking Capabilities All Instrumental in Toshiba's Newest Color Line IRVINE, Calif., April 3 -- Toshiba America Business Solutions (TABS) continues to expand its technology leadership position in network color imaging solutions with the launch of its newest full-color, multifunction copiers -- the e-STUDIO210c and 310c. With high output speeds, industry- leading image quality and complete Fiery driven network printing and scanning capabilities, the e-STUDIO210c and 310c color copiers are high powered and truly affordable all-purpose office productivity tools. The e-STUDIO210c and 310c can transform any office environment with its ability to provide top productivity for all users, at all times. Both products are ideal for high-volume office environments, print-for-pay facilities, and professional graphics departments that require a stand-alone or network connected copier, printer or scanner. The e-STUDIO210c can print or copy up to 21 color/31 black pages-per- minute while the e-STUDIO310c can output up to 31 color/black pages-per- minute. Warm-up time is minimized to a mere four minutes with first copy out time reduced to 9.5 seconds. Additionally, both products in this series are the world's first color copier systems equipped with Standard Electronic Sorting and a Saddle Stitch Finisher option with Hole Punch capabilities. Toshiba's proprietary Dual Compression Imaging Technology (DCIT) provides a true Scan Once/Print Many feature and the added convenience of Standard Electronic Sorting of multiple set copy jobs without a sorter. Image Quality Control The e-STUDIO210c and 310c draw on leading-edge imaging technology to deliver first-rate color copies and printouts. Toshiba's patented imaging technology, Image Quality Control, provides superb color clarity and rich text renditions in all scanning, printing and copying jobs. With copy resolutions of 9,600 x 600 dpi and 10-bit scanning resolutions of 600 x 600 dpi, the e-STUDIO210c and 310c deliver razor sharp text and superior graphic detail in all color reproductions and print documents. Advanced Image (AI) mode also is available to automatically determine which areas of a document are text-based versus photographic and optimizes results accordingly. Advanced Fiery Connectivity Owners of the e-STUDIO210c and 310c are able to select the controller that best suits their particular network management and job controller needs. With the advanced features and cost-effective convenience provided by Electronics For Imaging (EFI) (Nasdaq: EFII - news) Fiery Controllers, both units can be shared across workgroups, departments and the Internet. Toshiba's dual controller strategy offers users the choice of EFI's embedded Fiery X3e+ or external Fiery Z5 controller. The Fiery X3e+ boasts a powerful 700 MHz Pentium III processor, while the high-end Fiery Z5 combines speed and processing power with a 866 MHz Pentium III processor and 40 GB Hard Drive. Supporting a higher level of advanced document management, productivity and seamless networking, each of the solutions deliver high image clarity and excellent reproduction quality. The e-STUDIO210c and 310c both come standard with two 600-sheet paper cassettes, a 130-sheet bypass tray and optional 1500-sheet large capacity feeder for a 4,030 maximum paper capacity. Maximum monthly duty cycles for both the 210c and 310c are 40,000 pages and 60,000 pages respectively, with color print and copy speeds of 21 CPM/PPM (copies-per-minute, print-per- minute) and 31 CPM/PPM. Both models offer a zoom range from 25-400% and can handle up to 999 multiple copies. The e-STUDIO210c and 310c are available through Toshiba's nationwide network of dealers for the suggested list prices of $19,995 and $24,995 respectively.
