We had been with the one MIS vendor for over 25 years. However, when we acquired a new company, that specialized in additional market segments to our own, we hit some major hurdles.

We initially spent $25,000, to include the two location into the current MIS. However, there were still many limitations and we quickly learned that the "work arounds" would not suffice. To be honest it felt like we were just wasting our money, and we still couldn’t cover all the segments with the software! When we were asked for an additional $250,000 to handle label functionality, we decided that it was time to investigate some other options.

With this in mind we attended “Print” in Chicago where we had demonstrations from multiple software vendors. There were very few that managed all the market segments that we specialize in. However, we were lucky enough to run into Linda Pollard, who we had worked with in the past, and she introduced us to her new team at printlQ.

The printlQ system appeared to provide almost everything that we were looking for and we walked away from the trade show with printlQ as our number one choice. However, we weren’t sure that we’d be able to afford it.

After a series of demos and discussions, we realized that printlQ was definitely the right choice and surprisingly we could afford it too. The lQ development team also agreed to ‘partner’ with us to help develop the Flexo functionality within printlQ and we ended up with far more than we could have asked for.

We have now worked with printlQ for over a year and we love both the software and the relationship we have with the team. They make us feel like we are their only customer. They take the time to work through any issues that might arise and have helped us understand the system completely.

In addition to being impressed by the team we have also experienced many productivity savings. From time savings during estimating, jobbing and billing, through to a greatly simplified process for all of the production staff, we are seeing improvement across the business. To be quite honest we couldn’t be happier about our move to printlQ.
